Dear Parents and Families of John XXIII and Corpus Christi Schools,

It is my pleasure as the principal of the new consolidated school of John XXIII-Corpus Christi to welcome you all back to school and to an exciting 2014–2015 school year. The staff and I look forward to working closely with parents and students of both school communities to create a new, vibrant and unique school.

Becoming the principal of the consolidated John XXIII-Corpus Christi School is very meaningful for me personally. I have fond memories of teaching at John XXIII School for six years before moving to Sacred Heart School as a teacher and principal. I bring with me five wonderful years of experience and memories as principal of Corpus Christi School. I have truly enjoyed the warm, family oriented faith-based culture at both John XXIII and Corpus Christi Schools.

We began the process of building our new school together last June, which  included Corpus Christi visiting John XXIII for a prayer service and having the opportunity to meet new friends and staff. cch closingWe also held our Welcome To Kindergarten Orientation together for both schools. I have had the opportunity to meet many of you during these events as well as during the school council meetings and the accommodation review process for both schools.

John XXIII-Corpus Christi Catholic School is a dual track school, offering an Early French Immersion program and an English Language program located in the east end area of North Bay. The consolidated John XXIII-Corpus Christi school has a rich history and heritage from the two school communities that have become one this year, a school community that is proud of its' partnership with home and our Parish. Our consolidated school community believes that a Catholic School is one in which the teachings of Jesus Christ permeates all aspects of the school day. It is our intention to provide, in partnership with you, the parents and guardians, a stimulating and fun learning environment which will foster the intellectual, spiritual, physical, social and emotional growth of each of the students at John XXIII-Corpus Christi. During our school year, we will be focusing on our Catholic virtues to guide us as a faith-filled community.

I invite you to contact me at the school should you have any questions or simply to meet each other. I look forward to creating a new school together and having a great year with new exciting beginnings.

Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation in providing a positive learning experience for your child. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
